PR for the short-term rental industry…

Abode PR is a specialist public relations and content marketing agency focusing on partnering with clients in the short-term rental industry – the sector of the travel and real estate industries that is not only growing the fastest – but is the most dynamic and innovating.

We partner with clients including technology providers, marketing platforms, large property managers, associations and other service providers in the vacation rental, serviced apartment and property technology sectors.

Our focus is niche and targeted. We are considered thought leaders ourselves, ensuring that we are able to provide our clients with unparalleled expertise, insight and strategic direction to help their businesses reach the next level.

Whether you are a travel tech start-up just starting to think about media relations, or are an established property manager looking to improve your current PR activities – we’d love to talk with you.

Our past and current clients include technology solution providers, rental agencies, property management companies, industry associations and marketing platforms.

The core of our solution includes Digital PR, Media Relations, Communications Strategy, Thought Leadership, Reputation Management, Social Strategy and Influencer Relations.

Developing reputations, engaging with the media, and building relationships through integrated PR, social media and content marketing is our business solution.

Abode PR was founded by Jessica Gillingham, a PR and content marketing specialist and former director of Sockeye PR. After working with several clients in the vacation rental industry, Jessica saw there was a real need for a first-class specialist PR and communications agency; with a technical PR background and one that really understands the challenges and opportunities of the rapidly developing vacation and short-term rental industry.

If you are part of the vacation and short-term rental industry; whether you are a technology solution provider, a business representing properties, or are a service provider supporting the industry, then we would love to show you how Abode PR can support you go even further.

Jessica is the founder and director of Abode PR. She started her marketing and PR career working in the travel industry for a Canada specialist tour operator over 20 years ago.

Over the years, Jessica has worked with many big and small brands (some travel, some technical and some not), including Swoop Patagonia, Jayne’s Cottages, Frontier Travel, The British Heart Foundation, Lime Microsystems, Greentraveller, Passepartout Homes, Guest Hook, Dorothy House Hospice Care, 100 Ideas, Mamazou and Exmoor Tourism.

Jessica was also previously an Account Director for Publitek, a global deep-tech B2B marketing communications agency, recently named in the top 10 B2B Marcomms Agencies in the UK.

Jessica has also been on the other side of the fence as the founder of Triptoes, a booking platform for family accommodation in Canada. Triptoes was named a Guardian Start-up of the Year and won the TravelMole Best Accommodation Website in 2014.

It was during the running of Triptoes, that Jessica realised that her real passion, love and expertise lay in developing and implementing the vision, story and brand of the business. Developing reputations, engaging with communities, and building relationships through integrated PR and content marketing were where her heart and expertise lay.

Jessica is also a non-executive director sitting on the board of Visit Bath, the destination management organisation for the city of Bath, a World Heritage Site and one of the world’s premier tourism destinations.

She writes and speaks regularly on topics related to the short-term rental industry and is a contributing editor for VRMA’s Arrival magazine.

Jessica loves nothing more than working closely with her clients and watching their businesses grow.
